Disasters... rarely seen on blogs, but I'm all about it.
What a disaster… but only because the catastrophe waited until I’d completed this bear. Waited until I finished the last stitch, letting me think that I had made a good, solid bear for my Auntie Zee. While the outcome of this bear didn’t exceed my expectations, at least he was send’able.
He fit into the vintage silk baby boy shirt that has been waiting for a bear for almost 3 years now and the shoes, the baby brown and white oxfords that I’d spent and hour painting out the scuffs with vintage shoe dye, buffing and polishing to a hi shine this teddy could see his face in …oh well. His body split open at the arms right next to the joint and wouldn’t take the repair stitching that would allow the arm to still be movable. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I HATE, hate “do-overs” but sadly Buster Brown (named for my husband’s baby shoes he now is wearing) is a “do-over.” maybe some day I can repair him but now too many things stand in my way and the theddy bear schedule is a bit out-of hand.
So, he becomes my porch sitter bear. A bear of no consequence and low value given the ripped body next to the arm (one good yank and arm is yours) to sit on my porch. I found a real cute antique baby boy outfit that fits he like a dream, my husbands baby shoes until I can find others not so cherished and he has on my favorite embellishments, ribbons, bells and a locket with my picture in it …of course, his own chair to sit in and a nice soft pillow under his bum. I try to use up everything even disasters.

Mr. Bates
I didn't think I would ever want to make a rabbit. I thought learning to makes bears and good wine at this stage in life would take up until the end. After seeing all your wonderful bunnies on blogs, being sent some gorgeous pictures of your rabbits I thought I would try one. We have seen a rabbit that frequents and naps in our yard. He also harasses the squirrels which means he's my favorite rabbit. I hope he stays my favorite when the gardens starts...if he keeps away the raccoons, I'm having him over for dinner, I'll make a supper delicious carrot soup!
So thanks to you super talented rabbit makers (thanks Michelle for the pattern...her rabbits ROCK!), my favorite yard bunny and oh Downton Abby, I'm a HUGH fan so thanks to all of you and Downton Abby too I have a rabbit that I named after one of my favorite characters from the show, Mr Bates (yard bunny doesn't have a name yet, maybe Mrs Hughes or Anna).

Tis the season to be jolly... I love Christmas!
Tis the season to be jolly... if you throw away the bathroom scale! Fa la la la la... you know how it goes. The homemade cookies and eggnog are killing me MAN is it busy!! Wouldn't it be great if busyness burned calories?
I would disappear.
But I really do love Christmas. Merry Christmas (as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and say "Merry Christmas") and Happy New Year to all my friends and my blog friends (all two of you).
I love your support and of course you know what I think of your work....Sensational and I'm happy to be to see it , view it, buy it and wish I could meet you. Thank for your support and your beautiful blogs and words of encouragement.

Longmont United Hospital 1950 W. Mountain View Avenue Longmont, CO. 80503
Klintzfamily Bears will be selling bears at this event. Proceeds from the show goes to the Longmont United Hosiptal volunteers who provide hours of tireless service to the hospital.
I'm so excited, it's my second show. I have ten bears in the show, most made from my very own pattern I designed this year. Some are holiday themed, all are soft and sweet and ready for new homes, loving owners and tons of attention. I hope you can come!
